Personal Trainer food

So its almost the end of my first week of my new diet. I wanted to take this time to share some of the yummy food that I've gotten to eat from Personal Trainer Food.  It is some really good food and the diet is easy to follow with very small limitations when it comes to food you cant have.

*Note: I didn't take pictures of all of my food because mainly I forgot most of the time*
Here is my adventure:

I tried to mix things up so I can show you a big variety like this Chicken and mixed veggies

and this chicken patty and a different blend of veggies

This was a turkey burger and I had some greenbeans. As you see I realized half way through eating that I forgot to take a picture haha

And here is an example of the breakfast they give you. Each morning I have some kind of different omelette and sausage

There are other kinds of food I've had but didn't take a picture of such as the Zesty Chicken tenders I had last night and there are some other meals I haven't had yet like the sausage meals and the ribs.

The plan I am doing is a 28 day plan and it normally cost about $500 for 28 days worth of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The food is amazing and I can feel the difference alittle already. I haven't checked my weight or anything yet but I just feel alittle better and It's making me proud of myself for sticking to the plan so far. I felt like crap the first couple days due to the lack of sugar but I'm getting over that and I imagine I'll be feeling even better next week.

I'm off to do some walking. The only excercise recommended for the diet is walk about 20 mins a day. I like that already compared to most diets I hear that required intense cardio or weight training to see results.

I love this food. its all so good and I look forward to trying them all. Also I'm not limited to just the food they send me. I can go out to eat at restaurants and stuff too I just have certain guidelines to follow for what to eat.

Anyway, I'm off. If anyone has any questions then please comment on here and I'll try to answer them

BBQ and Coleslaw

This week we decided to do two recipes. A main course and a side. This week we chose Barbeque baked chicken and Cole slaw

Here are the recipes:

And here is out adventure:

She said "this would be easier" and began grating the carrots

and I started cutting them up

Then we did the onion and the cabbage (I didn't get a pic of the cabbage)

Then I mixed together all the other ingredients that were veggies

then threw in the onions

Then we mixed the veggies in a bowl and poured in the sauce..my youngest looks so tiny

We mixed it all together and then put it in the fridge while we made the chicken

First we made the sauce. It was a mix between sweet and spicy sauce, mixed berry preserves (the girls wanted that instead of peach), and garlic powder

looks yummy

Then I coated the chicken in sauce...

more coating....

....and placed them on trays

popped the trays in the oven for 15 mins... rotated and basted them with more sauce.... then 15 more minutes

Finally I plated the finished products

So yummy looking

When all was said and done we sat together and ate a nice family meal. It was easy to make and the results were amazing

Girls: 3/3 liked the whole meal. They preferred the cole slaw over everything but they still liked the chicken

Mine: The sauce on the chicken was so good. The spicy flavor the BBQ sauce with the preserve flavor worked so good together

We are going to start trying out more and more combo meals since we are having so much fun cooking now. I hope you all enjoy seeing the process as much as we have enjoyed making the recipes. If you want to learn to cook then just do what I did. Start small and work your way up. I'm far from being a great chef but my children and I have come a long way. If you want to learn then why don't you start with my first recipe?

A quick recipe for a busy day

So this week I wanted to make Mahi Mahi but plans changed. We decided since this was the first nice weekend in a long time... we were decided to go to a amusement park. So we changed the recipe to something quick and simple that we haven't tried. We decided to make Rotini with Chicken, asparagus, and tomatoes. But instead of Rotini we used elbow macaroni because we had a lot of that stocked up in our cabinets.

Here the recipe:

As you see it doesn't take much. to make. I think the longest process was cutting up the chicken

Here our adventure:
I cut up the chicken because I didn't want to risk anything letting my oldest cut it. I threw that on the skillet with cooking spray, salt , and pepper. I also started the water boiling before cutting so I could start boiling the noodles

Meanwhile my oldest cut up the asparagus and garlic

After the chicken was cooked I threw in the garlic, asparagus, and tomatoes and then posed for a photo op in my Daddy apron

I may have over did it alittle with the pasta but here is after I mixed  all the ingredients together. (except the goat cheese)

Finished product. I topped the bowl off with crumbled goat cheese....soooooo good

Even though it was a short recipe we still had fun with it. My youngest daughter kept running into the kitchen to grab some grape tomatoes and run back out while I was cooking. She loves tomatoes of every shape and size.

Girls: 3/3 loved it. The flavor really appealed to them and they ate most of it . And yes my oldest actually ate the chicken

Mine: I really like this recipe. Its a quick recipe you can do if you need to make something for dinner or for a pot luck but are crunched for time. And the flavor was awesome

I hope this recipe is helpful and next week I will try to make the Mahi Mahi if I can find some in the store. If not I also have a recipe for swordfish and I know where to get some of that.

Until next adventure!
